Wenning’s Wedding Tip Wednesday
With all of the uncertainty that we are now facing, it can be hard to know what your next steps should be. You had a super important event planned and now everyone is postponing or cancelling all events indefinitely? Now what are you supposed to do?
Next Steps: Postponing Your Wedding
So, now what? The first thing you need to do is decide between you and your partner whether to postpone your event or cancel. We a Wenning Entertainment highly recommend that you postpone your event rather than cancel. When you cancel services from vendors late notice you will usually be slapped with cancelation fees.
Avoid paying more than necessary. When postponing with us, we will not charge you any other rebooking fees. We are here to help.
Once you make the decision to postpone your wedding, your next step is to contact ALL of your vendors to come up with a new date to have your wedding. We have seen brides in the past who made the mistake of only contacting their venue first and booking a new date with them alone and not being able to their DJ for that day. Remember: All of your individual vendors have separate calendars. Don’t run the risk of having to find all new caterers, photographers, etc. after you’ve already spent so much time choosing the ones you like the best.
Communication is key in this stage. Talk to all of your vendors first, then find a date they are all available, and then schedule.
