Wenning’s Wedding Tip Wednesday
It’s not a secret that you can get the best out of your videographer on your wedding day. Now, how to get the best is a different story. You may think you don’t know where to start or what questions to ask, so these are the basics of how to get the best from your videographer.
There are some things you and your videographer need to talk about! Tell them what moments that are the most important to you and your partner
You may be thinking “everything!!” but that can’t be the case, unfortunately. So, curate a list of moments such as the first kiss, cake cutting, reception venue, etc. Be sure to be open and honest so you can relive what you want to and not think to yourself “there’s something missing here.”
Depending on how many videographers you have, they can’t be everywhere at once, just like you can’t! So, if you only have one videographer, they will ONLY be following you and your partner, OR they start scrambling when there’s a dull moment so that they can shoot details, exteriors, and other details.
Letting your videographer know exactly what you want can be crucial to the wedding video of your dreams. The more you can help them out by knowing what you want, the better the final product will be.
Now you’re probably thinking “so they told me the first step, now how do I go about hiring a videographer?” We have the answer for you! At Wenning Entertainment, we provide you with a planning service, and you can hire them for a FULL EVENT!
Other tips for hiring a videographer:
- If you’re going for a specific look, don’t be afraid to ask for samples! You have to know what you’re paying for before you purchase something as meaningful that you’ll have forever.
- See if your vendor has any recommendations for videographers! Now this may depend if they have a preferred or exclusive list, but if they don’t they may have people that you may not have heard of.
- Finding someone who has experience with your venue is essential for a great wedding video! If your videographer already knows the lay of the land, lighting, acoustics, etc. of the place, then your video will turn out amazing!
